Introducing GSEM: a catalyst for education!
The creation of the Geneva School of Economics and Management (GSEM) is the result of a major collaboration between many of its members following a decision for a restructure of the faculty of “Economical and Social Sciences” (SES) in autumn 2012.
Since its creation in 2014, GSEM is positioned on four core values: Excellence, Responsibility, Community, and Openness. It sees its role as a catalyst for education, fundamental research, and service to the city of Geneva and surroundings, and it aims to strengthen its community ties with institutions, businesses, and international organizations in Geneva and surrounding regions.
GSEM welcomes more than 1700 students and 200 educators, including professors renowned around the world for the excellence of their research in a wide variety of disciplines, and includes a Center for Continuing Education and an Institute for Applied Economics Research dedicated to serving the City of Geneva and regions. Geneva School of Economics and Management, headed by Dean Maria-Pia Victoria Feser, is committed to a broad-based, multidisciplinary approach to the sciences of economics and management. The GSEM will ensure that the University of Geneva receives the recognition it deserves in this domain.
